When Levanta approached Durotank, they were seeking custom-built oil tanks tailored to fit their unique site specifications. The challenge? They didn’t need self-bunded tanks, but they did require custom sizing and colours to suit their operations. It was an opportunity for Durotank to demonstrate the flexibility of our manufacturing process and our commitment to collaborative, problem-solving partnerships.
The Task
Levanta needed multiple tanks they could integrate into their existing workshop environment. Precision was non-negotiable – both in capacity and layout. Customisation was critical not just from a functional standpoint but also for operational efficiency and brand alignment.
Durotank had a direct line of communication between Levanta’s lead project manager and our in-house CAD draftsman. By cutting out the middlemen, we were able to ensure clarity, speed, and absolute accuracy in execution.
Solutions
We began by working closely with Levanta to understand their required tank capacities and available floor space. Due to the direct communication, our onsite CAD draftsman was able to translate Levanta’s vision into precise technical drawings. Real-time collaboration meant any design changes could be quickly incorporated, ensuring a seamless development process from concept to fabrication.
Every tank was custom-built at our facility, maintaining strict adherence to Levanta’s specifications. The outcome was a solution that not only met operational requirements but was also delivered without compromise.
Design & Customisation
Durotank supplied seven custom single-wall tanks – all purpose-designed in terms of capacity, dimensions, and colour. With no need for bunding, the designs focused entirely on fitting the space and function required. The direct collaboration with our draftsman fostered trust and complete transparency. This gave Levanta the opportunity to influence the final product.
This approach also ensured fewer revisions, fewer delays, and ultimately, fewer opportunities for error – a major benefit for time-sensitive projects such as this one.

We purchased Durotank’s 2400 Litre poly water trailer with fire-fighter pump and hose reel, plus optional dribble bar and batter sprays attached.
Our property, Duxton Farm, borders the Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory. Because of this, early season burning is extremely important to prevent uncontrollable bushfires later in the dry season. The trailer has been an invaluable asset to fire control – always full and ready to go when the call comes.
We’ve found it to be well balanced, empty or full, with the baffle ball system effectively controlling surge. We have had no issues with set-up, towing it with either a Landcruiser or Hilux.
Overall, we’re extremely happy with our purchase and the support from the Durotank team. We’ll be back.

I purchased a Poly Tank Fuel Trailer from DUROTANK in April 2018. DUROTANK builds one of the best fuel trailers I have ever used. The build quality, engineering and attention to detail is unreal.
