Based in Leeton in the Riverina region of NSW, Milbrae Quarries have been providing services in quarrying, mining and concrete manufacturing for over 35 years. With much of their work in remote locations, Milbrae Quarries approached Durotank for a fuel storage solution that would allow production to continue without disruption.

Solution
With space in abundance, Durotank suggested a package that included a Self Bunded Fuel Trailer and Self Bunded Diesel Standalone Tank to meet all the unique requirements of Milbrae. The lack of power at the site was countered by pairing a 12v solar System with 10,000L Self Bunded Smart Tank whilst mobile refuelling needs were met with Durotank’s highly durable premium quality 2000L Self Bunded Durotanker trailer. Both products were fitted with Durotank Mine Spec inclusion packages including reflective mine tape, emergency stop, wheel nut indicators and wheel chocks ensuring fuel could be taken to units without taking them out of the field.
Results
Ticking all the boxes, Milbrae initially purchased two of the customised packages suggested by Durotank. They were so happy with their effectiveness, they purchased further trailers and tanks and added Hatz diesel driven pumps instead of the 12v system. Our property, Duxton Farm, borders the Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory. Because of this, early season burning is extremely important to prevent uncontrollable bushfires later in the dry season. The trailer has been an invaluable asset to fire control – always full and ready to go when the call comes.
We’ve found it to be well balanced, empty or full, with the baffle ball system effectively controlling surge. We have had no issues with set-up, towing it with either a Landcruiser or Hilux.
Overall, we’re extremely happy with our purchase and the support from the Durotank team. We’ll be back.

I purchased a Poly Tank Fuel Trailer from DUROTANK in April 2018. DUROTANK builds one of the best fuel trailers I have ever used. The build quality, engineering and attention to detail is unreal.
