Custom-designed Lube Skids for Mawson’s Concrete and Quarries
Mawson’s Concrete and Quarries have been supplying southern New South Wales and northern and central Victoria with building materials for over 100 years. With extensive machinery and crushers across a multitude of sites, the team needed a mobile unit to service their machinery. The unit would help ensure machinery safety was not compromised, would reduce downtime and help maximise production. The servicing unit needed to be both well-protected and easy to transport.
With requirements at hand, Mawson approached Durotank for a solution to their machinery servicing. It was an interesting project for the in-house design team at Durotank. Due to the additional protection specification, they reached out to Dave from Rural Container Supplies in Albury to work on a design that would use one of his containers fitted out with a lube skid, pumps, and a selection of accessories for servicing. The container would provide the requested protection and would be custom fitted with items that Mawsons needed for servicing their machinery.
Once the design had been finalised Durotank built one Lube Skid to the specifications and shipped it to Rural Containers for testing. This was to ensure the proposed design fitted and worked optimally. Dave tested it thoroughly and was impressed with the outcome and how it had been custom-built by the Durotank team to the exact specs.
With the design approved, Durotank then built out 5 more Lube Skids to meet Mawson’s requirements of 6 mobile Lube Skid units. Mawsons were thrilled with the units which work brilliantly across their sites to ensure their machinery is well-serviced and high performing.
